Does a VeloCare visual review replace a mechanic?
No. Reports describe visible conditions in the submitted photos. They are not a safety certification and do not replace an in-person inspection by a qualified bicycle mechanic.
Can I check one part of my bike?
Yes. VeloCare supports complete-bike checks using several views and focused checks for a specific area when you need a closer look.
When does the GPS ride tracker record my location?
Only after you tap Start Ride. Recording can continue while the screen is locked or another app is open. Pause or resume when you need to, then review your route before saving. Recording stops when you finish or discard the ride.
How do visual reviews connect to maintenance?
A saved review can create care tasks with due dates, notes, reminders, completion history, and a link back to the source report.
What does VeloCare Pro include?
VeloCare Pro unlocks AI-assisted bicycle photo analysis, with up to 30 completed diagnoses per subscription month. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. Prices appear before purchase. You can manage or cancel your plan in your Apple Account subscription settings and restore purchases inside VeloCare.
Do I choose whether my photos are sent for AI analysis?
Yes. Before the first upload, VeloCare explains what is sent, why it is needed, and that OpenRouter and OpenAI process the request. Analysis requires your explicit permission. You can decline without uploading or revoke permission from Privacy & Data.
